OUR EXECS

Our UBC Team
Bridge to Campus UBC is our fifth chapter, and our first on the West Coast.

President
Sanvi Singla
Sanvi is a second-year student at UBC interested in research, student leadership, and community initiatives. She enjoys building things from the ground up and bringing ideas to life, especially when they create opportunities for others, and she's excited to bring that same energy to Bridge to Campus. Through BTC UBC, she hopes to make the transition to university a little less overwhelming, helping students find guidance, perspective, and a community they can feel part of.

VP External
Salma Abouhalika
Salma Abouhalika is a fourth-year Psychology student at the University of British Columbia, minoring in Health & Society. Having grown up in the UAE, she was unfamiliar with the Canadian university application process and found guidance from a mentor invaluable when navigating it herself. Inspired by that experience, she joined BTC to support and guide students who may be facing similar challenges, helping make the university journey feel a little more accessible and manageable.

VP Internal
Vicky Nguyen
Vicky is a fourth-year student at UBC majoring in Integrated Sciences, specifically Neuroscience, Physiology, and Public Health. She is interested in reducing the socioeconomic disparities that prevent accessible higher education. A proud first-generation immigrant growing up in Prince Edward Island, Vicky hopes to bring to Bridge to Campus her experiences and insights to foster a supportive atmosphere for all students.

VP Finance
Alex Chui
Alex Chui is the Vice-President Finance of Bridge to Campus UBC, where he oversees budgeting, funding, grants, and financial planning to support the organization’s mentorship and community-building initiatives. As a 5th-year UBC Microbiology & Immunology student involved in the UBC Science Undergraduate Society (SUS), Alex brings experience in student governance, advocacy, and organizational leadership, with a focus on ensuring resources are used effectively to expand opportunities and strengthen support for students.

VP Promotions
Zoe Hsiao
Zoe is a Biology student at the University of British Columbia. As the first in her family to attend university in Canada, she knows firsthand how intimidating that transition can be, which is what led her to Bridge to Campus. She wants other students to see that starting university doesn't have to be a journey you have to figure out alone, and through BTC, she hopes to support others.

VP Communications
Parneet Bhangu
Parneet is a third-year Biology student at the University of British Columbia with a strong interest in mentorship, outreach, and creating supportive spaces for students. Through her involvement in student organizations and community initiatives, she has seen how meaningful the right guidance can be during the transition to university. As VP Communications, she hopes to make Bridge to Campus’ resources clear, engaging, and accessible while helping students feel more informed and confident about their post-secondary journey.
